About us
Umbria Fiere is Umbria's Exhibition District: a strategic venue in the heart of the region, located along Umbria's main road axis and in a central position within the national territory. It is a space designed to host trade fairs, events, conferences, corporate meetings, shows, sports events and public competitions, with a flexible offering that is constantly evolving.
Its value is also rooted in the area around it. Its proximity to Assisi, Perugia and Umbria's main art cities makes the exhibition district an ideal destination for those who want to combine business, networking, culture and tourism.
Today, Umbria Fiere looks to the future with a clear vision: to become an increasingly modern, attractive and competitive platform for organizers, exhibitors, companies and visitors. This development path is already underway, through the expansion of spaces, the modernization of facilities and a new vision for the exhibition district: more open, more functional and more closely connected to market needs.
Honourable Lodovico Maschiella
History
The trade fair tradition of Bastia Umbra dates back to the nineteenth century, when livestock fairs attracted breeders and farmers from across Umbria's central valley.
In 1969, the first modern fair was launched: the Agriculture Fair. It was a powerful idea that had an immediate impact on the regional area and started a path of growth, bringing in new exhibitors, an ever-increasing number of visitors and new events.
In 1980, with the development of the exhibition district project, the Regional Association for Trade Fair Events Agriumbria was founded, supporting the growth of the centre until 1998. The scale achieved and the economic value generated then led to the transformation of the managing body into Umbriafiere SpA, now recognized as the Regional Exhibition Authority.
A key figure in this journey was Lodovico Maschiella, who understood the potential of the trade fair market in Umbria. The facilities of the Regional Exhibition Centre are named after him.
This vision also gave rise to the role of Agriumbria, the National Exhibition of Agriculture, Livestock and Food, which is now a national point of reference for the agricultural sector and a space for discussion on the future of agriculture, livestock farming and food.
But Umbria Fiere is not only Agriumbria. Over the years, the centre has expanded its identity, opening its doors to different events, exhibitions and formats. Today, it is an evolving platform, able to host trade fair, conference, corporate and cultural projects in spaces that are increasingly modern, versatile and future-oriented.
